Coach Vasyl has been coaching for over 20 years. As a competitor, his resume includes two Olympic Silver Medals, individual Foil World Champion, five times Foil Team World Champion and winner of five Class "A" World Cups. He is also the former coach for the U.S.S.R. National Foil Team (1985-1988). He continues to be in demand on the world circuit as a coach. In the U.S. Coach Vasyl is one of Pingry High School Varsity Team fencing coaches. His personal accomplishments made him one of the most titled fencers in the World. Top 3 finisher in 3 Olympic games (Mexico City - 1968, Munich - 1972, Montreal - 1976), 7 World Championships, and 5 World Cups. He is a multiple National Champion of the USSR, International Class Master of Fencing, Honored U.S.S.R. Master of Sport. Vasil graduated from Lviv State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport, Ukraine.His research was " The Individual Stiles in Fencing and the Methods of Training for the best competitive results ". | |

Coach Tatyana has more than 20 years of coaching experience in both the U.S. and abroad. She is currently one of Pingry School Varsity Fencing Team coaches, and has been so for five seasons. She has coached in the Ukraine, Hungary and Indonesia. In the Ukraine, she was the I-st Category Coach, which is one of the highest coaching categories of fencing. She was coaching Lokomotiv and Spartak Club's fencing teams. Her students was winning several Ukranian Lokomotiv and Spartak Club Championships, team and individual. One of her students won Individual Ukranian State Foil Championship between Cadets. Tetyana graduated Lviv State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport, Ukraine. She made a research " Methods of teaching the Preparatory Actions in Fencing" during her Postgraduate Education Program. | |
